Most would turn away if they saw the word DEATH in this blog title….but PLEASE READ ON!
Many, if not MOST, push away the very thought of Death – and miss out it’s helpfulness for life.
Thinking about death can help us…
- Set priorities – that is, decide what is important in LIFE; with death in mind, we can better focus on its meaningful rather than the trivial aspects.
- With the “end in sight,” we may also feel more motivated and energized to attend to our life’s most important tasks
- Conversely, drop many troubles and worries: they go away, for us, when we die! Problem solved!
- Prepare for it – FOR our loved ones. And, it’s IS going to happen – and can anytime to anyone.
- Develop greater appreciation for the positives we have in life since we nor they will go on forever.
- Develop a relationship with our SELF –( particularly if we have become immersed in a couple relationship or in family relationships). We come in and go out of this world alone. How are we doing with our SELF?
